Compound Words in Latin

     A compound word is one that contains two or more significant word elements.  The word elements may be stems, modifications of stems, particles, or entire words.

     This tutorial provides instructions for the composition of Latin compound words from other Latin words.  The instructions describe the most common procedures.  Exceptions and irregularities are common, so the reader must understand that not every known rule known is listed in this tutorial.
