Rei picks up her star-shaped weapon from the table in the Crown room. "So this is Artemis' present," she remarks. Toying with her own, Makoto explains, "I used it, and it was so strong. I haven't gotten the power of the Senshi yet, but it was as if my powers had been boosted." "Maybe the return of our past life memories has something to do with it too," says Rei. "And the fact that Usagi..." she shakes her head, "...no, the Princess is with us." "We have to protect Usagi with our powers." "Yes," Rei agrees. At that moment, Usagi bursts into the room and flies down the stairs. She grips the table and her chair for balance, gasping for breath. Frightened, Makoto and Rei rush to her side. "What happened?" Rei asks. "I knew she wouldn’t be here either!" Usagi wheezes. "Who?" asks Makoto. "Luna," Usagi answers dramatically. "She says she has a big announcement." "Big announcement?" Rei repeats. Usagi nods and pushes past them to the karaoke stage, holding the microphone in her hands. The lights dim. "'This is Luna!'" she breathes. "'I’ve kept it until now, but...'" Rei and Makoto gulp. "'To tell you the truth, I..." she pauses for dramatic effect. "'...am not a cat, I'm a dog!'" she finishes cheerfully. "Huh?" Rei and Makoto blink. The lights return to normal, and Usagi prattles on. "Okay okay! 'To tell you the truth, I got married!'" she cries. "Something like that?" Rei and Makoto roll their eyes and sigh. Usagi rushes from the stage, mic still in hand. "Then, then, then how about this?! Listen listen!" When she catches sight of the star-shaped weapons, she stops rambling. "Ah, how nice they are…" she pouts. "I'm jealous. It's unfair that I'm the only one who doesn't get one." "The Princess is different," Rei quips. Usagi lowers the mic and picks up Ami's blue-jeweled star. "This…" she says with a smile. "I’d like to give this to Ami-chan soon." "Yeah," Rei nods, her voice breaking slightly. "Let's bring her back," Makoto says. "The four of us together here—that’s what Ami-chan was hoping for." "Yes," agrees Usagi. "We can’t have Ami-chan stay like this forever." The three look wistfully at the Mercury's star. |

On the rooftop, Dark Mercury continues to struggle with herself. She grips her head and whimpers. She sees the image of herself as Ami, knitting mittens for the Senshi in the Crown room. Looking out into the city, she wonders, Who am I...? She turns her head to the setting sun. |

Usagi walks home from school and looks solemnly at the same sun. I wonder if Ami-chan will remember too, she thinks to herself, recalling a time when the four Senshi walked together as normal girls. She continues on her way. Out of nowhere, a balled up piece of paper hits her on the head. Surprised, Usagi looks around indignantly and sees a small purple-haired girl, dressed in a yellow skirt, a purple and white shirt with a cat head print, and white boots. She sits on the ledge of the bridge, grinning at Usagi and swinging her feet. "No good," the girl says disapprovingly. "If that had been the attack of the enemy, you'd have been defeated." "What?" Usagi asks. The girl jumps down, revealing her tail. "You know, because of the Mysterious Silver Crystal, Ami-chan is on the verge of coming back. I think it's going to be soon." "Really?!" Usagi cries excitedly. "But why do you know?" "I surprised you, right?" asks the girl. Usagi nods. The girl slaps her hands on her hips and continues, "I don’t think you can imagine it, but to tell you the truth, I'm—" She stops short and jumps when a small white dog starts barking at her. The girl screams and runs away in terror, leaving Usagi to stare after her. The owner of the dog soothes his pet. "Rabu-chan, don't bark. Shh. Shh. No. Don't bark." The dog whimpers in response. What was that just now? Usagi thinks. |
