In the Crown room, Usagi, Rei, Makoto, and Luna the Cat surround Ami, holding party crackers. They shout in English, "Welcome back, Ami-chan!" Together, they pop the party crackers. Switching to Japanese, they say, "Ami-chan, welcome back!"

"Thank you!" Ami squeals happily. She pops her own party cracker.

"It’s been really a long time since we've all been together," Luna the Cat remarks. The girls grin and nod in agreement.

"Then one song to celebrate!" Usagi cries, running over to the karaoke machine. The opening to "C'est La Vie" begins to play. "Of course—Aino Minako's!" Usagi hands Ami a microphone, and the two stand on the karaoke stage, belting out the song. Luna, Rei and Makoto listen from the table. Shaking their heads side to side to the beat, Makoto sings along, and Rei simply smiles.

In a minivan, the same song plays on the radio. Minako sits in the backseat while her manager drives. "Minako-chan," he says, "It's a little hard to tell you, but..."

"What is it?" she asks.

"That commercial job I told you about before—it’s gone."

"Is there some kind of trouble?"

"No, it was taken by another girl," he explains. "The one who's suddenly appeared and is getting big..."

"Ahhhh." Minako nods in recognition. "That girl..."

Images of a girl posing for cameras in a studio flash through Minako's mind. "Look here," says the photographer.

Minako thinks to herself, I passed by her in the studio yesterday...I felt something from her.

"Minako," Artemis says (telepathically?) from her purse.

A dog barks outside of the Tsukino household. "Today," Ikuko announces, "we’ll be having squid-octopus-kimchi omelets!" She sets Usagi's and her plate on the table while Shingo carries his own.

He glances at the television. "Ah—hey! It's Kuroki Mio," he comments.

"Huh?" asks Usagi.

On the television, the announcer wraps up his sentence. "...her new commercial has been released to the public."

A row of beach chairs have been placed on the edge of an indoor pool. Sitting on one of the chairs, Mio holds up a bottle labeled "Goo" and says, "A morning tea to replenish your body: GOO." She takes a drink. "Drink it with a goo."

"She's so cute!" says Shingo.

"Whatever," Usagi retorts, pouring herself some tea. "She's nowhere near the same level as Aino Minako."

"Nope, she's winning."

Usagi slams down the tea. "I told you, that's not true!" she shouts.

"I’m telling you, it is true!" he says sulkily. Usagi pouts at him.

"Shingo," Ikuko croons. She sets two bowls down on the table. "If your taste doesn’t improve a little, you'll be crying when you grow older. In this situation, Minako's the right answer."

"Yup!" Usagi grins.

"But they say that she might have more commercial deals than Minako," he points out.

"No way! Really?" Usagi cries. She sits down dejectedly. "I can't believe it. Aino Minako's number one!" She punctuates this statement with a firm nod. Grabbing the remote control she points it over her shoulder. "I don't want to see this," she snaps, changing the channel.

"Ah! What are you doing?!" Shingo protests. "Hey!"

Usagi ignores him and begins to eat. Giving up, he picks up his own spoon.

"Here we are!" reports the newscaster on the television. "Obe Asuko's New World Report! Here in London..."

"Ah, London!" says Ikuko. "Brings back memories of our honeymoon…"

Usagi stops eating at the mention of London and turns solemnly to the television. London... she thinks. That’s where he is...
