Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Act 29

Outside of a house in London, it rains.

"Hey, Mamoru!" a boy shouts in English from outside of the house door. "Good morning! Are you sleeping? Let's get some breakfast!"

Mamoru raises his head sleepily from his pillow. "I'll be there in a minute," he answers in English.

Getting up, he pulls his shirt over his head and tosses it on a low bench. [I am going to faint now! ]As he picks up a different shirt and turns to the mirror, the melody of The Moonlight Sonata wafts into the room. Zoisite, at his piano in the Dark Kingdom, looks back at him from the mirror.

"You again," Mamoru says in exasperated Japanese.

"How long will you deny your past life?" Zoisite’s voice echoes. "Your path has already been decided."

"If everything has been decided by my past life," Mamoru challenges, "then what am I now?"

"You are...you," Zoisite says. "Master."

At the Dark Kingdom, Kunzite watches Zoisite communicate with Mamoru. Walking around the piano, he says, "If he learns about his past life, he'll become frightened by his own crimes. How about just letting him die without knowing anything?"

"Can you really take away the Master's life?" Zoisite’s asks him. "You, who was said to have had the deepest loyalty among the Shitenno?"

Kunzite recalls the moment in his past life when he fell to his knees and roared, surrounded by the rubble of a destroyed palace and the dead bodies of his fellow Shitenno.

"This is also a kind of loyalty..." he answers. "Perhaps."

As he leaves the piano room, Zoisite begins to play a different song.

"I can see it," Beryl breathes. "I will go down to Earth. The future of that planet..."

Images of Mamoru leaving the house in London to get breakfast with his friend, holding an umbrella over his head, flashes across the screen.

"Endymion," murmurs Beryl. "We will surely meet soon. This time, for sure." At that moment, Jadeite enters, and she turns around. As he bows to her, she asks, "Jadeite, how is it?"

"Because of the power you lent me, it’s doing better than expected," he responds. "It will surely get the Mysterious Silver Crystal."

A smile spreads across her face. "I'm looking forward to it," she says. "Even more so with my power mixed in..."

On the way to school Kanami and Momoko run into Naru and Usagi, and the four exchange "Good Morning!"s.

Naru spots posters of Kuroki Mio, where a crowd of girls are gathered. "Ah, Kuroki Mio," she says. "She just appeared out of nowhere."

"I heard she’s going to have more commercials than Minako-chan," Usagi sulks. "Unforgivable! Minako-chan's way better!"

"I like Minako-chan better too," Naru agrees.

"Me too!" cry Kanami and Momoko.

Usagi grins. "Right!" she sings. "Minako-chan's songs are awesome! I will support her even more, and Kuroki Mio can just...!"

A few minutes later, Usagi sits at her desk in the classroom, her eyes wide and mouth open in shock. The rest of the class bears the same expression. In English, Ms. Haruna says, "Everyone, today, let me introduce a new friend to you." Switching the Japanese, she puts a hand on her hip and orders, "Then...Okay, Mizuno-san, try to translate it, please."

Ami repeats, "Let me introduce..." softly to herself in English. Understanding, she smiles and answers in Japanese, "Let me introduce a transfer student."

"Yes! Well done," Ms. Haruna says. "Let me introduce a transfer student." She pauses. "But even if I tell you, it looks like you already know. Though she's a famous person, starting from today she will be a student in Class 1, just like all of you." Walking around Mio, she puts her hands on her shoulders. "Befriend her as a classmate!"

Donning the Juuban Junior High School uniform, Mio smiles and gives them a bow. "I'm Kuroki Mio! Nice to meet you!"

There is a stunned silence. Usagi blinks in disbelief. The students stare. Kanami puts a hand over her mouth.

Momoko breaks the silence. "No waaaaaaay!" she shrieks. She stands up, shaking with excitement. "I can't believe it!"

Her cry triggers the class into motion. Naru stands up, and Kanami screams, jumping up and down. The rest of the class erupts into excited cheers, as Kanami makes her way across the classroom to Momoko to take her hands. Mio grins at the reaction.

Only Usagi remains motionless, still too shocked to move.

Later, during a break, girls swarm around Mio with small notebooks. Placing her notebook down in front of Mio, Momoko asks, "Can I have your autograph?" Mio smiles and picks up a pen while the other girls squeal with delight.

Ami makes her way over to Usagi, who is sitting alone and looking at Mio with a jaded expression. "She's extremely popular, huh?" Ami comments. Usagi nods. Naru eyes the girls who are receiving autographs and clutches at her own notebook.

"Okayyy!" Ms. Haruna rushes over to Mio's desk, a camera in her hand. "Who wants a picture with Mio-chan?" she asks.

The girls raise their hands, shouting, "Me!! MEEEE!"

Unable to contain herself any longer, Naru jumps up, tossing her hand in the air. "Me too!" she chimes in.

But as she jumps out of her seat, Usagi grabs her by the sleeve. "What are you doing, Naru-chan?" she hisses. "You said that Aino Minako was better!"

"No, no," says Naru. "The nearby idol is better than the far off star. Sorry!" Turning away from Usagi, she walks over to Mio's desk. "Excuse me, can I squeeze in?" she says to Hikoemon, putting a hand on his arm.  "Sorry~ Sensei, please!" The girls smile and hold up V signs.

"Ready…set…!" Ms. Haruna snaps the picture.

Usagi scowls at Naru's betrayal. "She's Minako's rival!" she mopes to Ami.

"But, she's our classmate," Ami says.

"Even so..." Usagi plops herself down and watches her frantic classmates resentfully.
