It's a dark and stormy night in London and Mamoru sits in his dark apartment, remembering what Kunzite said to him when they fought before Moon had unmasked him. "You betrayed us," ring out Kunzite's words, "and thus this planet was destroyed." A piano starts to play, and looking up, Mamoru can see Zoisite in his mirror, playing the piano. "I...my name and everything else, you say it was all given to my by another person from the Past. That's why I wanted a me that wasn't all that..." explains Mamoru. "Is that here?" asks Zoisite. Mamoru stands up and glares. "Master," beckons Zoisite. |

Back in sunny Juuban, Usagi's heading to school. She greets Momoko and Kanami at the shoe lockers happily, but they barely mutter a reply and quickly hurry on their way. Usagi gazes after them sadly, as Naru and Ami approach her, having seen the whole thing. "Usagi..." speaks up Ami. Usagi turns around and happily greets her a good morning. "Oh, I'm okay!" she insists as Ami looks at her sadly. "Usagi, good morning!" greets Naru with a smile, causing Ami to smile, as well. "Good morning!"
Observing the three unnoticed is Mio, who doesn't look at all pleased. "Mako-chan is late, isn't she," worries Ami.
"Naru said she'd come afterwards, too," says Usagi, "She said she didn't
want to eat with Mio." "Me too. But I don't think Usagi had any ill intentions," replies Mio with a creepy smile. "No, not like that," explains Naru, "There were other circumstances, weren't there?" "You trust her that much, don't you?" asks Mio, still with that creepy smile on her face. "I do," Naru answers, "So, tell me what really happened." "You've always been by Usagi's side, haven't you?" asks Mio. The smile melts away from her face and she suddenly glares at Naru, who starts to keel over in pain. |

Mio is in the recording studio, singing,
Step by step, one by one.
when she notices Minako is watching her from outside. Mio looks worried and
then speaks up. "Excuse me. Is it okay if we take a little break?" "Sorry for observing at my own convenience," says Minako. "It's an honor," insists Mio, "Tell me if there's something wrong, won't you?" Minako glances at Mio's wrist and comments "It looks like your injury wasn't serious." "Huh?" replies Mio, confused, until realization dawns on her. "Ah, you knew?" "I have acquaintances at Juuban Intermediate, so I hear things..." explains Minako. As Mio absorbs that news, Minako rounds on her, "Why did you go to Juuban? Isn't it inconvenient for work?" "I guess so," Mio agrees in an offhand way. Minako presses on. "Before that, which school did you go to?"
Mio has a blank look on her face for a few moments before sobbing and
covering her face with her hands. She sinks to her knees, crying, as Minako
looks down on her. "It's nothing!" she sobs out, "I wasn't told anything mean. Minako gave me advice." A bit of a crowd has gathered by now and the man stands up to talk to Minako. "Hang on, Minako," he demands, "Are you picking on the new girl?" "How dignified," comments another man. "No," insists Minako, and Mio agrees. "No!" she cries out, standing up quickly as the tears fall from her face. "It was a blow out of love!" |
