Mamoru hastily stops his bike and runs to the girl. "Hey! Are you okay? Hey! Hey!" The girl is Mio. "Hang in there! Hey! Hey!" |
The evening sun colors the sky orange. Usagi sets a neatly folded outfit on her table. Luna makes a questioning noise. "Usagi, it's still evening," she informs Usagi, who's already dressed in her pajamas. "But, tomorrow I have to go buy tickets for Aino Minako's Live Concert," Usagi explains, "It's a limited sale through the ticket window, so if I don't go early, they'll sell out." "You're going with Chiba Mamoru, aren't you," says Luna. Usagi grins and laughs girlishly. "Geez..." complains Luna, "even though the Princess and Prince had a forbidden relationship, you don't listen to me at all." Usagi frowns and kneels down to talk to Luna, "Hmm, it'd be better if you'd just approve, because we've already decided." Luna groans as Usagi heads towards her bed. |

At Azabu Public Hospital, Mio lies asleep in a hospital bed. Mamoru sits next at the bedside, watching her intently. Mio's eyes open and Mamoru leans in expectantly. She looks around. "This is..." she starts questioningly. "The hospital," Mamoru informs her gently, "You suddenly collapsed on the road." "Did you rescue me?" she asks. Mamoru answers, "You fell in front of my bike, so..." "I see," Mio replies and smiles, "Thank you." She turns her head and reaches out her hand to place it on his. Mamoru looks down. Mio smiles at him, a bit of a sincere smile with a sinister touch to it. Mamoru looks at her, eyes flickering back to her hand, unsure of what to do. Queen Beryl stands in her chambers, gazing off. "Endymion," she says out loud, "Soon, this hand will reach you." She reaches her hand out. "I won't allow the Princess to interfere." |

Usagi stretches a little and then hops into bed and turns off her lamp. The full moon shines brightly behind the trees outside as she says, "Good night!" |
Usagi's Teletia S rings and she gets up groggily to answer it. "Hello?" Her face lights up. "Ah, yup. What happened? Huh? A girl collapsed? Why?" "They're examining her now," Mamoru tells her, "Well, it's not because she collided with my bike." Usagi yawns silently on the other end. "I think she doesn't have any injuries." Usagi rubs her face and sleepily asks, "Hmmm...Why?" Mamoru takes the receiver away from his face for a moment to look at it in surprise. "You, were you sleeping?" "Hm?" Usagi smiles. "Yeah that's right," she says, eyes closed, "the tickets for the live concert." "Anyway," says Mamoru, "it looks like her family or anyone else isn't coming, so I'm going to stay with her a bit more..." He pauses. The other side has gone quiet. "Usagi?" Usagi's sleeping, phone open next to her face and content smile on her face. Mamoru's voice can be heard calling, "Usagi? Usagi?" Realizing what happened, Mamoru lets out a short laugh. "Bye," he says, as a murmur of Usagi's can be heard. "Good night." He hangs up the phone and walks down the hospital hallways. He passes a nurse and also a room labeled "VIP Room." |
Inside, the VIP Room is illuminated only by the light above the long bed. Minako lies in the bed, staring at the ceiling as an IV drips slowly. "Minako," comes Artemis' voice. Minako looks down as he jumps to the foot of her bed. "Just doing these emergency treatments forever won't work," he says. "Didn't the doctors also say your condition isn't good?" Minako sits up. There's a music notebook open on her lap. "Didn't we decide it from the beginning?" she asks, "That I wouldn't use time uselessly?" Artemis sags his head, "But..." Minako goes on, a reassuring smile on her face. "We have a mission inherited from the Past, don't we." She lies back down. "It's because I'm living for that purpose. So that the Past won't be repeated." She remembers the scene she observed when Mamoru confessed to Usagi. "I don't believe it!" he declares, "I've decided that. That's why I returned. To be sure of it, together with you." He pulls her in for an embrace and says firmly, "Never! This world won't be destroyed." "They're wrong," Minako says, "I have to stop those two after all." |
"Visiting hours will be over soon," a nurse announces. Mamoru and Mio both turn towards the door. "Yes," he replies and stands. Mio sits up. "Hey, will you meet me next time? I want to show my gratitude." "I don't need gratitude or anything," he tells her. "But I want to!" whines Mio, "Please! Is it no good?" She pouts. "I didn't do anything that great," he insists, "Well, take care." Grabbing his bike helmet he leaves. Mio watches him go with a dark glare on her face. |

"That's right, Endymion," says Beryl, "Always, your eyes, they weren't looking at me." Her mouths twists into a smile, "From now, it will be different." Kunzite approaches Zoisite at his piano. "Persistent, isn't she?" he says as he swaggers closer. "Dragging the thoughts that couldn't be fulfilled in our past lives to the present life." He lounges against the piano, arms crossed. "I can't laugh," replies Zoisite, "The ones who hold the Past, everyone is the same way." Kunzite muses loudly, "However, I may be able to use that." He puts a hand to his chin, stroking it in thought. "If I have Master, he'll become my trump card against Beryl." Zoisite leaps to his feet. "Kunzite!" Kunzite just barely glances over his shoulder. "Finally, I've found the hand that can oppose her," he says and then walks away. Zoisite watches him go. "I must protect Master..." he says to himself, "However, how far I can do it alone...?" |
Minako seems much better as she's up and walking through the hospital, Artemis tucked under one hand and small suitcase in her other. As she turns the corner, she pauses. Ahead of her, Mamoru is walking down the hall. Her eyes widen as she recognizes him. "Endymion?!" asks Artemis, "Why is he in a place like this?" Minako runs down the hall and out the entrance to the hospital. Mamoru's just putting on his helmet. He starts up his bike and as he zooms away, Minako shouts, "Wait!" She halts, though, as Zoisite steps in front of her. "You!" says Artemis. "Are even the Sailor Senshi targeting Master?" asks Zoisite, "What a nuisance." Artemis leaps from Minako's hands, allowing her to transform. "Venus Power, Make up!" Zoisite's eyes narrow at her as she goes into her speach. "Soldier of love and beauty, Sailor Venus! In the name of Venus, I'll punish you!" The two step back from each other and Venus attacks with a "Venus Love Me Chain!" Her whip snakes out and goes right through Zoisite, whose figure disappears on contact. Venus readies her whip again and searches around. Zoisite is standing behind her, but as she turns, he moves with blinding speed to the back of her once more and wraps his arms around her, a knife held to her neck. "It won't be like the other time," he tells her. “Venus!" shouts Artemis. "Don't come near our master," commands Zoisite. "Master?" repeats Venus. "You remember the Past, too?" asks Artemis. "And if I do?" replies Zoisite. "Tell your master," retorts Venus, "'Don't come near the Princess.'" "Why?" asks Zoisite. "You know, don't you?" says Venus, "The world will be destroyed." He narrows his eyes, but relaxes his grip on Venus. She spins away from him and they face each other, knife stretched out in front of him while Venus has her whip at the ready. They stand off against each other, waiting for the other to make a move. Zoisite lowers his knife, and Venus does the same with her whip, albeit more slowly. "Is that to say our thoughts are the same?" he asks, "Venus, as people each with something to protect, I have something to talk with you about." |
